SYDNEY, 1 April, 2009 - Moving beyond the curtain and shiny wrapping of the arts, entertainment, film and TV worlds, video series Glitter launches today onto TV.com. Glitter is a fun, fortnightly program that offers a fresh take on cutting-edge trends and personalities in fashion, film and the arts.
Locally produced and hosted by TV.com presenter and socialite Kate O'Shea, Glitter is set to hit the web on April 1 with Kate rocking the red carpet at the MTV Australia Awards and chatting one-on-one with The Hills star Audrina Patridge. The starlet reveals the latest on what we can expect in The Hills Season 5, details of her new spin-off show and talk about her dramatic love life.
"Glitter aims to offer a real, insightful look at the creative forces and personalities driving fashion, film and TV in Australia and across the globe," says Glitter Executive Producer and Presenter, Kate O'Shea. "It's been exciting to get behind the scenes and discover the true stories behind what inspires creative minds. This isn't repackaged runway shows and product launches, Glitter showcases real stories behind the designers, performers and entertainment figures we all know and love".
The show's MTV debut episode will be followed by an exclusive Logies news segment, an exclusive interview with Australian film star Brendan Cowell and more.
"Web audiences are savvy, straight-shooters when it comes to feedback. We see that on our forums on TV.com. When audiences want change or have ideas, they let us know and Glitter will be no different. With the benefit of instant web-enabled feedback through forums and content sharing features, we're going to work to build a show that's both stylish and smart for web audiences with the hottest faces in entertainment and the arts in Australia and around the world".
The first episode of Glitter hits the web on April 1 and can be seen on the Glitter with Kate O'Shea show space on TV.com.
