YAHOO!7 & CNET AUSTRALIA LAUNCH NEW TECH CONTENT SITE

Sydney, 25 June, 2010 — Australia's leading online consumer technology destination, CNET Australia (www.cnet.com.au) and Yahoo!7 (www.yahoo7.com.au) has today launched Yahoo!7|CNET Australia Technology, a new site in the Yahoo!7 Network delivering the latest news, reviews and how-to guides around technology.

The CNET channel on Yahoo!7 will target an audience who want a straight-forward and jargon-free explanation of the tech tools that are increasingly becoming a part of everyday life.

Yahoo!7|CNET Australia Technology will differ from CNET Australia's core site content in its approach and level of complexity. While CNET Australia's content is aimed at an audience with a high understanding of tech and its developments, Yahoo!7|CNET Australia Technology will change the conversation to cover and explain technology products and concepts to the everyday Australian - everything from finding the best iPhone photography apps to helping you understand and setup your home entertainment system.

"Whether users are considering a new TV, trying to understand the features of the latest smartphone or looking for digital photography tips from the pros, CNET Australia's content on Yahoo!7 translates our years of experience in tech reviews and features into an easy-to-understand format for those who use tech, but might consider themselves less tech-savvy," said Pam Carroll, Editor, CNET Australia.

Content will be posted to the new site daily across four core subject areas: photography, digital home, tech on-the-go and games. Content will showcase a range of features across these categories including photo-galleries, videos, buying guides and reviews housed within the CNET branded channel.

"We're excited to welcome CNET Australia into the Yahoo!7 content family, to help us to deliver the web's best tech content to our audience," said Kath Hamilton, Director of Audience for Yahoo!7. "More Australians are looking to understand and better use technology to help them live their lives and we're convinced our audience will love what the Yahoo!7|CNET Australia Technology section has to offer."

Yahoo!7|CNET Australia Technology will go live on Yahoo!7 on June 24: au.news.yahoo.com/technology
