As a ZDNet Australia journalist, Luke Hopewell covers a wealth of technology issues in his role with his focus on business developer offerings and tracking the news around IT initiatives including cloud computing, open source, privacy and security.

Luke started his tech journey working for Telstra in 2006 and writing mobile phone reviews for his blog, "Talk Nerdy to Me". He completed a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of Newcastle, with his passion for tech and gadgets landing him a short stint working in a local community newsroom. This experience sparked the idea around ultimately developing his career in tech journalism.

Luke brings this experience of the Australian business technology environment, key players and important advances to the ZDNet Australia team, with his passions outside of the technology scene including photography, gaming and a need for speed with a love of fast cars and motorcycles alike.
