Alexandra Savvides, Associate Editor

Pam Alexandra Savvides is the new Associate Editor on the CNET Australia team, managing news and reviews for the site's digital camera and printer categories. Alexandra is a keen photographer in both digital and film mediums, despite frequently spilling developer and assorted chemicals on herself during stints in the darkroom.

Alexandra's introduction to technology came at an early age as she spent long spells in front of Blockout and Ski Free during the heyday of Windows 3.1. From those humble beginnings she went on to study computer science and modern history at university; a combination which has since caused her much chagrin at having to explain that she wasn't going to become a computer historian when she grew up.

Since then, Alexandra has worked in then music and film industries for events like The Sydney Film Festival, and has been a producer and presenter at several community radio stations in Sydney

Additionally, Alexandra has furthered her love of writing through her work as a freelance journalist for a number of publications in print and online including Oyster and Mink Magazine.

In her spare time, Alexandra is likely to be found practicing her rudimentary DJ skills, writing about music and the arts and making countless albums-of-the-year lists.
